The U-12 Girls Football League Delhi was launched by BBT-India to promote a culture of sports among young girls and encourage their active participation in football. By engaging schools across Delhi and Gurgaon, the program created a safe and inspiring platform for girls aged 10–12 to explore their potential, build confidence, and develop teamwork through the game. The league was structured in phases, beginning with training and motivation of Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) and culminating in competitive matches across five zones.
The initiative reached over 70 schools, with 24 school teams eventually competing in the final league, witnessed by more than 3,000 students. Matches were hosted at Bal Bharati School, Pusa Road, and the program was recognized by leading bodies, receiving support from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and endorsement from FIFA’s Grassroots Program. Beyond sports, the league instilled leadership, resilience, and a sense of achievement among young girls, making it a milestone initiative in promoting inclusivity and empowerment through football.
